Mom and my UK adventure – our last night

After walking around Birmingham, we found a place to eat — The Duck.  We had an excellent meal and ordered a fudge sundae for two.  We were stunned by the size of the dessert .  Often English people say that American sizes are very large.  Ha.  That sundae was massive!  Even so, we all enjoyed it and the vacation.

   Goodness me you got around. You and mum must be exhausted! Sorry the sun didn’t shine for you, but it doesn’t seem to have stopped you doing anything. Lovely to see the area where I live (very near to Kenilworth Castle…a friend of mine owns the farmland surrounding it) through the eyes of a visitor.

   Gloria, the photos of your trip are just stunning, it makes me really want to go! Thanks for sharing so much of your adventure. Someday if I ever get to plan a trip over to the UK, I’m glad I know someone who can help plan the itinerary :-)

   Oh, wow, Gloria! I have so enjoyed this trip with you and Derry and your lucky Mom. When I was there it was in March and cold and I see even in July you are in jackets but the gardens look amazing. It was fun to revisit places I went and even more that are still waiting for me. I do so want to go back even more now!!

   Thanks Ruth. Yes, the weather is always a guess. I was there in July one year and it was very chilly and another July and it was in the 90s!
   Judy, if you ever go, I can certainly help with the itinerary, and Derry could be an even bigger help.
   Anna, the area around Kenilworth Castle is beautiful. You’re a lucky lady!

   I was seaching for something and your blog came up and I was appalled that someone in the public eye would call a Sundae, Sunday. I hope you three enjoyed your “sunday”.
