Mom and my UK adventure – Birmingham
After leaving Kenilworth Castle, we headed to Birmingham where we spent one night prior to flying home in the early morning. First we took mom to The Mailbox so she could get a taste of one of Birmingham’s shopping areas. From there we walked along some of the canals at the Gas Street Basin. Mom was surprised to learn that Birmingham has more canals than Venice. The weather was perfect and it was a good way to unwind.

Canels like glass – how did you arrange that? Your photos just have so much to look at, not just from a vacation point of view, but also from a design point of view…. I know I will be back to look at the arches again and again. Welcome home!

Susan, thanks! And, yes, I only posted a fraction of the images I took for design/art inspiration. In Birmingham, I have reflections on the water surface only. The colors are gorgeous. Hopefully I’ll do something with some of them. Then I have hundreds and hundreds of arches, staircases, windows, and the like. I want to do some watercolor of some of the landscapes, too. Ahh … there is far more in my brain that I want to do than I actually end up doing. Dream on …
