Mom and my UK adventure – pt 1
Several people have emailed me asking why no new posts. The answer is that I’ve been in the UK for a couple weeks, first for work, but I also took along my mom to give her a vacation. It was her first time to England, and she was thrilled!

Derry picked us up at the airport, and our journey began.
In Derry's hometown is an amazing poppy field which we were lucky enough to see in full bloom.
The flowers are gorgeous.
And they seem to go on for miles.
In the coming day, my plan is to post more images from our adventure. Yes, I know I didn’t yet post pictures from my California trip, but eventually I’ll post some. And some new artwork, too!

Thanks Marlis! I have more photos coming. Putting them on the blog is good for a few reasons — mainly it helps me sort everything as I want to make a book for mom, and second it allows the extended family to see them.
I’m not sure if I’m going to get to the Festival of Quilts in August. The airfare has gone through the roof, and I’m not sure if I can swing it again. My loss, I know. I take it you’ll be there?
