A butterfly
It’s that time of year when I’m out at least every weekend in search for butterflies and other interesting things to photograph. The weather has been very hot, so I only stay out for an hour or two before I stop. I took this photo in a field of cone flowers in central New Jersey. In the coming days/weeks I’ll be posting more.

What are you buying instead of the Nikon D80? I toy with getting a more “professional” camera but I know that a huge part of the photographs is the photographer not the camera. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos! So glad you are doing well!

Lisa, my first DSLR was a Nikon D70. Each time I bought a new body, I kept the prior as a backup. I’ve been using a D7100 since late April, and I have the D90 as a backup. Thus the D80 soon will go up for sale.
