I am very pleased that my latest book, Digital Essentials, is now available to purchase through my website.
I tried to cram as much helpful information as possible into the book.
Also, I’ve included on the page a free PDF chapter download of the complete chapter on image protection on the Web. Even if you have no plans to purchase the book, please consider downloading the chapter. As the Orphan Works bill continues to muddle and threaten to pass the House, we need protection more than ever!

Hi Gloria – just ordered your fab book; also I signed up for the Oct 2 class – YEA!!! Right now feeling so dismal about the Orphan Works bill deal – I wrote to all my reps for Florida, got back the standard bs form letter EXCEPT for Mel Martinez, Republican Senator for our state. He sent a nice personal letter, unfortunately HE DOESN’T GET IT!!! I’ve gotten up a letter to send to – or maybe even deliver to headquarters here in person to Kathy Castor – D, rep; I’m also going to contact a few news persons on the national letter as soon as I get their email addresses – Andee had suggested this on her post on QA but she didn’t have good email addy’s. I try not to dwell on this but since I’m trying to get my website together, I wonder why bother – altho I did engage the services of GOCOPYRIGHT org who for a fee, will submit all the paperwork and obtain a copyright for a website – at first didn’t think they were legit, but the US Copyright office contacted me to let me know submission for copyright registration was pending – so we shall see. They are supposed to put a logo on my website when registration is completed.
Hope all is going well in your corner of the world. Your pics from England trip are fab – my husband enjoyed viewing them since he is English…sort of made him a tad homesick…btw – you sure are gorgeous in your trip pics!
Okay, nuf out of me – can’t wait for my book and your class on Oct 2.

I hope you enjoy the class and the book!
Regarding the Orphan Works bill, it’s all sickening. Also, as long as your registration is pending, you’re in front of the line. Thus, if there were to be any type of infringement, my understanding is that your pending status would help you.
And ha … you should see me now. I’m fighting a horrid eye infection and I look like a sci-fi monster!
