Mom and my UK adventure – pt 10 Ludlow & Ironbridge

After our long weekend, and being it was a Monday (a la work), mom and I didn’t start our adventures until the afternoon.  First we headed to Ludlow, also located in Shropshire. After walking through the town with its medieval and Georgian buildings, we visited Ludlow Castle.

Next up we went to Ironbridge, a world heritage site also located in Shropshire. It has the world’s first arch bridge made out of cast iron and is the birthplace of the industrial age.  The bridge crosses the River Severn (the same river that runs through Bewdley).

   Interesting how two little blobs of pink softens a picture of stone…. this is some trip – journey you are on.

   You take fantastic pictures. I have been in the past to most of the places you have been in the U.K. and looking at these pictures made me nostalgic. I do have your book. very best Ethel

   WOW what a trip…I’m still scrolling backwards, but that BRIDGE…the lines and curves and repetition….OOOOH! And those pictures way up a bunch of posts of the reflections in the water (thinking Pauline Burbidge!)….way cool! Cheers, Sarah

   Thanks Sarah. Yes, I got carried away in posting pictures. I finally finished an album for my mom. I have over 400 pictures in it from 8×10 to small.
