Dark, well copper, Side of the Moon …
There was a total lunar eclipse in tonight’s sky. I braved the cold, put my camera on a tripod, and took some photos. It was a beautiful event to observe.
“A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon passes through the shadow of Earth. You might expect the Moon to grow even more ashen than usual, but in fact it transforms into an orb of vivid red.

Although I kept worrying that my dog would run into the tripod as he traipsed around, luckily he didn’t and I managed to get some photos that I’m happy with.
