sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 430px) 100vw, 430px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Today was day one of a three day workshop on Shibori techniques taught by Jan Myers-Newbury at The Newark Museum, in NJ.\u00a0 Of the nine people in the class, one came from Arizona and another from outside of Boston.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-983 sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lighting in the studios at the Museum was great.\u00a0 But, enough with taking photos in the pretty lighting.\u00a0 It was time to learn what Jan was there to teach &#8211; shibori or methods of making a variety of patterned marks on dyed fabric.\u00a0 First we did a variety of folding and clamping techniques.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-974\" title=\"janmn-11\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/janmn-11.jpg\" alt=\"\"
