To quote, \u201cSphere uses basic color theory in order to automatically provide you with visually appealing colors.\u201d\u00a0 They also call it &#8220;an online color theory visualizer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-914\" title=\"color2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By selecting one of the formulas, such as complementary or split-complementary or even clash, you can see how a selected color or colors will interact.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-917\" title=\"color-b\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color-b.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color-b.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color-b-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The tool also allows you to select a formula and simulate how the colors will look under different forms of colorblindness.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-911\" title=\"color3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color3.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color3-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can view the full spectrum, web smart, or web safe colors.\u00a0 The above is the web safe palette.\u00a0 While you cannot control the size of the swatch or mix colors such as a pastel with a heavily saturated color, it\u2019s an interesting tool.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-913\" title=\"color1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"426\" height=\"255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color1.jpg 426w, https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/color1-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 426px) 100vw, 426px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was happy to learn that this tool, created by Mudcube and minus the sliders, is also available as a free Macintosh widget to download and add to your Dashboard tools.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/downloads\/dashboard\/reference\/colortheory.html\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to download the Dashboard Widget from Apple<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>ColorSchemer, Design in Harmony, also offers a free application for Windows users called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colorschemer.com\/colorpix_info.php\" target=\"_blank\">ColorPix<\/a> and another widget for Mac users called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colorschemer.com\/galleria_info.php\" target=\"_blank\">Galleria<\/a>.
