Two other eye treats were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saqa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SAQA<\/a>&#8216;s <em>Transformations 2008<\/em> exhibit and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europeanartquilt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">European Art Quilt Foundation<\/a>&#8216;s <em>Art Quilt V<\/em>.\u00a0 When visiting their website, click the &#8220;Gallery&#8221; and the &#8220;2008&#8221; link to see their display at the show.\u00a0 It nicely shows off the gallery setting of the special exhibits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-601 aligncenter\" style=\"margin-top: 5px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" title=\"fest-sand\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fest-sand.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fest-sand.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fest-sand-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Quiltart and SAQA member <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandysnowden.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sandy Snowden<\/a> had a booth display entitled &#8220;Sandy Snowden: Two Years On.&#8221; Last year\u00a0Sandy won the Student Category with &#8220;Distressed and Deconstructed&#8221;, &#8220;a skirt design inspired not only by erosion and decay in metal, but also by the aging seen in corsets from the Tudor period.&#8221; \u00a0I wanted to take it home with me!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-603 aligncenter\" title=\"fst3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fst3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fst3.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.gloriahansen.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/fst3-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the variety of exhibitors, there are several artists demonstrating their techniques. Ruth Issett, author of several excellent books, such as &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0713490373\/glorihanseartisw\/104-6342261-2981530\" target=\"_blank\">Print, Pattern &amp; Colour<\/a>,&#8221; was again at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artvango.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Art Van Go<\/a> booth demonstrating some of her printmaking techniques.\u00a0 The Art Van Go store is located in Herfordshire.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve not <em>yet<\/em> been there, but I plan to.\u00a0 Their site also shares several surface techiques (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artvango.co.uk\/products\/techniques\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">you can find there here<\/a>).\u00a0 If you&#8217;re planning to go to the Knitting &amp;
