This gorgeous piece of artwork was made by Beryl Taylor.\u00a0 Originally from England, Beryl has been living in NJ for many years.\u00a0 A few years ago, we learned we are practically neighbors.\u00a0 I was visiting with her yesterday to give her some Elements lessons when she surprised me a present.\u00a0 When I unwrapped it,\u00a0 I was practically in tears.\u00a0 This piece is just gorgeous, and it’s so her!\u00a0 It measures 9×11″ and is mounted on a 12×14″ matte.\u00a0 It’s signed and ready for framing.<\/p>\n

She knows I have a thing for clocks and time, and this piece is filled with little clocks.\u00a0 It’s hand and machine stitched,\u00a0 includes her fabric paper,\u00a0 fabrics, and hand stitched beads.<\/p>\n

I love her edging technique.\u00a0 Our schedules will be meshing again in May.\u00a0 We plan on getting together and doing some collaborative work.\u00a0 I’m looking forward to it, especially since I have years and years of embroidery work that I’ve done long ago when I was active in the Embroiderer’s Guild of America.\u00a0 At some point later, I’ll photograph a few pieces to add here.<\/p>\n
