This past summer when I was at the The Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, UK, I met C June Barnes, an artist who makes unique creations that she first quilts\u00a0 and then dyes.\u00a0 She wrote a gorgeous full color book generously explaining her process.\u00a0 It’s called Stitching to Dye in Quilt Art – Colour, Texture and Distortion<\/em>.<\/a> I fully intended to buy the book while there.\u00a0 However, because her booth was crowded, I decided to continue buzzing through the show and return before leaving.\u00a0 It was after I was back at the hotel that I realized I forgot to buy it!\u00a0 Then I\u00a0 thought, order it while in the UK or wait until it hits Amazon here.\u00a0 I decided to wait.\u00a0 Good news!\u00a0 The book is now at Amazon, shipping on February 3rd!\u00a0 And, in\u00a0 US dollars, it’s less than half of the price of UK pounds!\u00a0 Full price or not, the book is worth every cent (or pence).<\/p>\n
