Squared Illusions IV © 2003 Gloria Hansen 47" x 47" Another in a series of designs exploring repeating and diminishing squares and overlapping shapes. I created this design using Adobe Photoshop, and printed it onto cotton fabric using archival pigment inks. I further enhanced the design with D'uva pastels and textile paints. This quilt was exhibited in several shows, including: • Best of Show in the 2003 Barrington Area Arts Council "Contemporary Stitches" show in Barrington, IL. • Judge's Choice award in the 2004 Mid-Atlantic Quilts Festival in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania. • Honorable Mention, Wallhanging, 2004 Quilter's Heritage Celebration, Lancaster, PA • Honorable Mention, Professional Wall Hanging, 2004 AQS Quilt Show, Paducah, KY • Honorable Mention, Professional Wall Hanging, 2005, The Minnesota Quilters, Inc.
