Welcome

My passions include digital design on my Macintosh computers; quiltmaking and working with a variety of media such as pigment inks, paints, dyes, fabric, papers, and threads; and using my cameras (I'm a Nikon junkie).
I am co-founder of GloDerWorks, a full service Web company with offices in the US and UK. If you are considering a website, I invite you to look at the sites we've created to see if we can help you. We create customized content management systems to accompany each site we develop. This means you can update the content on your site as often as you want without having to know any HTML. It's very cool!
In addition to working as a full-time website graphic designer, I have authored or co-authored 14 books on quilting/computer and Internet-related topics, and my 15th book is coming out this fall! I also continue to write freelance, including the tech column for The Professional Quilter magazine which I've written since 1996. My focus is on the Internet, computer-related topics, inkjet printing on fabric, design, quiltmaking, and digital photography.

My solo exhibit, "Advanced Geometry: Gloria Hansen" More information about the show is here. The write-up for the show is incredibly flattering ... it says, "Advanced Geometry: Gloria Hansen is a selection of art quilts by a self-described computer nerd and one of the world’s foremost experts on computer-generated quilt design. Hansen’s gorgeously and intricately designed and executed art quilts definitely feel of-the-moment but also owe a debt of gratitude to the Op-Art of the 1960s. Hansen has mastered the use of bold geometry and concentric lines to achieve surprising beauty at the same time fooling your eye into seeing vibration, depth and motion."
